Crowns and Bridges

Your teeth and smile age naturally. With the passage of time  there is trouble with missing teeth, decay, elongated teeth or old fillings. These occurrences can have quite the impact on both your smile and your oral health.

These are both ways to restore lost, missing, decayed or damaged original teeth by repairing and correcting structural problems. The purpose of a crown is to rebuild a tooth, or teeth to its original form. The purpose of a bridge is to replace one or more missing teeth.

Dental Implants

Trauma, decay, disease, fractured roots and tooth positioning can all lead to tooth loss. Once a tooth is gone, the surrounding bone deteriorates and more teeth can potentially collapse into the empty space left behind.

This is why implants are used.  Dental Implants are surgically fitted artificial teeth. They replace the root of the missing tooth, preserving the bone and preventing that caved in appearance. The implant stimulates the bone cells to remain once the original tooth is gone.

How long does an implant take, and what exactly does the procedure entail? An implant will take multiple visits, over a few months time. Initially, x-rays and impressions of the teeth and jaw are taken. This measures their height and width, gum tissue and available space for the implant to be placed. Next the titanium implant goes in. It is surgically placed in the bone. This usually takes about 4-6 months to heal completely. While the jawbone gets accustomed to the implant, a temporary transitional restoration piece is used. And then lastly, an implant crown goes in just like a natural tooth, and both your smile and oral health are as good as new. Four months after healing, an impression of the top of the implant is then taken. An abutment and crown are made and go on top of the implant. This is the last step of the procedure.

Dental Veneers

Veneers are the perfect solution to almost all cosmetic dental problems. Made of porcelain, they are wafer thin custom fitted restorations that are bonded to your natural teeth. They instantly correct your teeth and simultaneously achieve the perfect smile.

They can lengthen and/or shorten any teeth that don’t match up to show a fuller, more youthful smile. Veneers are also a great way to replace old white plastic fillings. Sometimes known as instant orthodontics, porcelain veneers are also an alternative to traditional braces because they can reposition your teeth. Perfect if you want immediate results.

Endodontics

Endodontic treatment also known as Root canal treatment, is a dental procedure in which the diseased or damaged pulp of a tooth is removed and the inside areas the pulp chamber and root canals are filled and sealed.

Endodontic therapy or root canal therapy is a sequence of treatment for the infected pulp of a tooth which results in the elimination of infection and the protection of the decontaminated tooth from future microbial invasion. When the nerve of your tooth becomes infected, a successful root canal treatment lets you keep the tooth rather than having to pull it out. Keeping your tooth helps to prevent your other teeth from drifting out of line and causing jaw problems. Saving a natural tooth avoids having to replace it with an artificial tooth.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics is a dental treatment aimed at correcting malformations and abnormalities of the teeth in relation to their position in the mouth.

It consists of the placement of a dental appliance, which can be fixed or removable, and which is aimed at fixing dental crowding issues. Orthodontists use fixed and removable dental devices, like braces, retainers, and bands, to change the position of teeth in your mouth

Emergency

In emergency dentistry , a ” true emergency situation ” includes oral-facial trauma, uncontrollable bleeding, infection, and pain. Facial trauma is the most common cause of tooth loss.

Usually, children and adults lose their teeth because they are more involved in physical activities. But what to do when this happens to you? If you have a dental emergency such as a knocked-out tooth, you should schedule an appointment with an emergency dentist right away. It is worth to know that proper emergency action can save your tooth. If you act quickly and get an emergency dentist appointment in our dental clinic within 30 minutes, your tooth can be saved.
